Executive Board

Dean Katerndahl, Chair

Before his retirement, Dean Katerndahl worked for the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) as director of the Government Innovations Forum, collaborating on regional projects with city managers and department heads. Dean was recently elected Mayor of Parkville, Missouri. He has been an AHH Board member since the organization’s inception and is a past chair of the AHH Board.

Sara Kircher, Secretariat

Over the course of her career, Sara Kircher has worked with multiple local and national nonprofit organizations, as well as supporting her church. In partnership with her husband, Sara is proud to have raised two daughters who are outstanding young women (it’s a mother’s prerogative to be biased!). Today, she enjoys participating on a regular basis in the lives of her two terrific grandchildren (again, a grandmother’s prerogative to be biased!). And, she loves supporting the important work of AHH.

Nicole Curry, Vice Chair

Nicole is a vice president at BRR Architecture and a mom of two amazing girls, ages 12 and 5. Over the years she has supported several other non-profits including Special Olympics Unified Sports and Children’s Mercy’s Mercy Research Partners. She and her husband enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time outdoors and cheering on their daughters’ soccer teams. Supporting AHH is the cherry on top!

Robert Baehr, Board Member

Robert is an accomplished Electrical Engineer and Director at Henderson Engineers. With a strong foundation in engineering and leadership, Robert has built a career focused on driving operational excellence and empowering teams to succeed. Outside of work, he finds joy in raising his two children and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Robert is passionate about helping others reach their full potential.

Ivan Huntoon, Jr, Board Member

Ivan is a Vice President, Financial Services Manager at First Citizens Bank.  With a strong commitment to public service, he has served on school, library, and chamber boards to help ensure that the needs of the community are met.  He is passionate about education and development, and advocates for policies that support an infrastructure that helps all members of a community grow.  Outside of work, Ivan enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, cooking, watching sports, coaching soccer, and binge watching the occasional series.  He loves being a part of AHH and helping to serve and promote its mission.      

Myisha Watson, Board Member

I’m Myisha Watson, a native of Southeast Missouri.  I moved to the KC area 20 years ago to obtain my Master’s degree in Social Work.  For years, I worked as a medical and mental health social worker,  which led me to cross paths with Mr. Woo. As a social worker, I helped link unhoused individuals with resources in the KC area, which included Artist Helping the Homeless. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021 from Rockhurst University.  I’m currently working on my psychiatric nurse practitioner degree, in hopes of becoming a mental health provider to provide mental health care here in the KC metro.  My compassion for helping under-served populations is what influenced me to become a social worker and nurse.
